Usage Instructions

A) Exfoliating Cleanser Set (For Oily Skin / Fresh, Deep-Clean Feel)

This cleanser contains micro-beads that gently exfoliate, helping remove excess oil and impurities while leaving pores feeling clean and refreshed.

Step 0: Cleanse – Exfoliating Cleanser

  1. Wet your face and hands.
  2. Dispense a coin-sized amount into your palm.
  3. Add a small amount of lukewarm water and gently lather.
  4. Apply to the entire face and massage gently for 40–60 seconds, focusing on oil-prone areas such as the T-zone and chin.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, making sure no scrub particles remain.

Step 1: Tone – Balancing Toner

Apply a coin-sized amount to a cotton pad or your hands and gently spread over the entire face to help restore the skin’s pH balance.

Step 2: Serum – Daily PD

Dispense 1–2 pumps and apply evenly over the entire face.

Step 3: Moisturize – Recovery Cream

Take a pearl-sized amount and gently spread across the face.

Finish by lightly pressing with your palms to help absorption.

B) Hydrating Cleanser Set (For Dry Skin / Moisture-Focused Care)

This creamy cleanser gently washes away impurities while protecting the skin’s natural moisture barrier, leaving skin soft and hydrated.

Step 0: Cleanse – Hydrating Cleanser

  1. Wet your face and hands.
  2. Dispense a coin-sized amount into your palm.
  3. Add a small amount of lukewarm water and lather into a soft, creamy foam.
  4. Gently cleanse the skin using circular motions with your fingertips. Avoid rubbing the skin.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Step 1: Tone – Balancing Toner

Apply a coin-sized amount to a cotton pad or your hands and gently smooth over the entire face.

Step 2: Serum – Daily PD

Dispense 1–2 pumps and apply evenly to the face.

Step 3: Moisturize – Recovery Cream

Apply a pearl-sized amount over the entire face.

For areas prone to dryness, such as around the eyes and mouth, apply an additional layer if needed.

C) Balancing Cleansing Emulsion Set (For Sensitive Skin / Makeup Removal)

This gel-to-oil cleanser melts away makeup, sunscreen, and impurities while remaining gentle on the skin.

No foaming or double cleansing required.

Step 0: Cleanse – Balancing Cleansing Emulsion

For makeup removal:

Use on dry hands and a dry face.

For morning cleansing:

Can also be used with wet hands and face.

  1. Dispense an appropriate amount and spread over the entire face.
  2. Gently massage until the gel transforms into an oil texture, allowing impurities and makeup to dissolve.
  3. Add a small amount of water to emulsify (the texture will turn milky).
  4. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Double cleansing is not necessary.

Step 1: Tone – Balancing Toner

After cleansing, gently pat the skin dry.

Apply a coin-sized amount over the entire face to help prepare the skin for better absorption of skincare ingredients.

Step 2: Serum – Daily PD

Apply 1–2 pumps evenly across the face.

Step 3: Moisturize – Recovery Cream

Apply a pearl-sized amount over the entire face to lock in hydration and create a protective moisture barrier.

    Encapsulated Vitamin E and retinyl palmitate, formulated to target UV-related skin damage, help improve firmness and radiance while protecting the skin from daytime environmental stress.

  • Barrier Repair & Hydration (Recovery Cream):
    Ceramide NG and squalane strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier. While you sleep, it helps repair dryness-related damage, leaving the skin feeling soft, plump, and refreshed by morning.

    When using products containing retinol, your skin may become more sensitive to UV rays. Please be sure to apply sunscreen during the day.

  • Use During Pregnancy or Breastfeeding:
    Daily PD and Recovery Cream contain retinol. As a precaution, we recommend consulting your physician before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Combining with Other Acidic Products:
    Using strong peeling agents immediately after applying Balancing Toner may increase the risk of skin irritation.

The Daily Power Defense and Recovery Cream included in this Basic Care 4-Piece Set (Mild Course) use a relatively gentle form of retinol compared to other ZO Skin Health products—often referred to as “protective retinol.”

Because of this, intense peeling is uncommon. However, if your skin barrier is weakened, you may experience slight dryness or redness when you first start using the products. In most cases, this subsides within a few days as your skin adjusts.
