[クラミジア]

クラミジア感染症は、「クラミジア・トラコマティス」という細菌が原因で起こる性感染症です。日本で最も多く報告されている性病の一つで、特に10〜30代の若年層に多くみられます。症状がないまま進行することが多く、知らないうちに他人にうつしたり、放置すると不妊の原因にもなります。

感染後1週間〜3週間の潜伏期間を経て、男性には、排尿時の軽い痛みや違和感、尿道からの透明または白っぽい膿（分泌物）が見られることがあります。しかし、多くの男性は無症状であるため、自覚なく感染を広げてしまうことが多いです。放置すると、精巣上体炎や前立腺炎といった男性生殖器の炎症を引き起こし、不妊症の原因になる可能性があります。

女性は、クラミジアに感染しても症状が非常に軽微であることが多く、おりものの異常（黄色っぽくなる）、下腹部の鈍痛、性交時の痛み、不正出血などの症状が現れることがあります。しかし、無症状であることが多いため、気づかないまま感染を広げてしまうことがあります。進行すると、骨盤内炎症性疾患（PID）や卵管炎を引き起こし、これらが原因で不妊症や流産のリスクを高める可能性があります。

[淋病]

淋病（淋菌感染症）は、淋菌によって引き起こされる性感染症です。感染後の潜伏期間は通常2日〜7日程度です。

男性では排尿時の激しい痛みや灼熱感、尿道からの黄色や緑色の膿が大量に出ることが特徴です。放置すると、精巣上体炎や前立腺炎に進行し、場合によっては不妊症を引き起こすこともあります。

女性は、クラミジア同様、症状が軽いことが多いですが、おりものが増える、黄色や緑色の膿が見られる、下腹部痛、性交痛、不正出血などが現れることがあります。無症状の場合もあるため、気づかずに放置されることがありますが、進行するとPID（骨盤内炎症）や不妊症を引き起こすリスクが高くなります。さらに、淋菌は咽頭や直腸にも感染することがあり、口や肛門の粘膜に炎症を引き起こすこともあります。

クラミジアと淋菌の両方とも、早期発見と治療が重要です。感染していることに気づかずに放置すると、健康に深刻な影響を与える可能性がありますので、定期的に検査を受けることが勧められます。

Usage Instructions

A. Preparation

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water.
  2. Open the test kit and lay out all contents on a clean, flat surface.

※ Please note: The sample collection method differs for males and females. Be sure to follow the correct procedure.

B1. Sample Collection – Female Users

※ Testing during menstruation may result in inaccurate results. Please collect your sample only after your period has ended.

  1. Use a tissue to gently remove any excess mucus from the cervical area.
  2. Take out the sterile swab provided in the kit.
  3. Carefully insert the swab into the cervix until the tip is almost no longer visible.
  4. Rotate the swab 360° in one direction, and leave it in place for 15 seconds.
  5. Slowly remove the swab.

B2. Sample Collection – Male Users

  1. Refrain from urinating for at least one hour before testing.
  2. Take the sterile swab included in the kit.
  3. Gently insert the swab 2–4 cm into the urethra.
  4. Rotate the swab 360° in one direction, and leave it in place for 15 seconds.
  5. Slowly remove the swab.

C. Common Procedure for All Users

  1. Peel off the film seal from the extraction tube.
  2. Insert the swab into the tube.
  3. Stir the swab thoroughly inside the tube for at least 10 times, over 15 seconds.
  4. Open the vial containing Buffer B, and pour all of its contents into the extraction tube.
  5. Stir the swab again in the solution for another 10 times, over 15 seconds.
  6. Break the swab at the designated breaking point, and leave the tip portion inside the tube.
  7. Attach the dropper cap to the extraction tube and shake well to mix.
  8. Place the test device on a clean, level surface. Make sure the extraction tube is standing upright and stable.
  9. Holding the tube vertically, apply 2 drops at a time (total of 4 drops) to the S area of the test device. Avoid creating air bubbles.
  10. Allow the test to develop on a flat surface for 15–20 minutes, and wait for the results to appear.
