What is dapagliflozin (generic Forxiga)?

1. What is an SGLT2 inhibitor? A new idea: protecting by letting sugar out
Conventional diabetes medicines mainly either released insulin or suppressed sugar absorption. SGLT2 inhibitors work quite differently.
How it works
It blocks SGLT2, the protein that reabsorbs sugar in the kidneys. Excess sugar is passed out of the body with the urine, which lowers blood sugar naturally.

This is its greatest feature. Whether or not you have diabetes, dapagliflozin is approved as a treatment forchronic heart failure and **chronic kidney disease (CKD)**.

2. It covers type 1 diabetes as well

How to take it
Take one tablet by mouth once a day.

- While taking it, make sure you drink enough fluids
Side effects
Frequent urination and increased urine volume, thirst, a tendency to dehydration, infections of the genital area and urinary tract (itching, discomfort, pain when passing urine and similar),low blood sugar (for example when used alongside other diabetes medicines)

Returns, Refunds and Cancellation Policy
[ Validity period ]
Valid for 90 days from the date you apply. Please note that after 90 days the discount under this plan is no longer valid and can no longer be used.
[ Refunds and returns ]
Once you have applied for this plan, we cannot in principle accept a refund or return for customer reasons, except where the law requires it. However, if the doctor decides at your consultation not to issue a prescription, we will refund the full amount you paid. Even before the medical consultation, we cannot accept a cancellation or refund of a Luxora Pass for customer reasons.
[ Cancellation after ordering ]
We do not accept cancellations, returns or refunds for customer reasons once an order is complete.
We cannot accept a cancellation, return or refund for reasons such as "I no longer need it", "I ordered it by mistake" or "it is different from the image", so please check the product details carefully before you order.
[ Subscription plans with a minimum number of deliveries ] For subscription plans with a minimum number of deliveries, such as "2 deliveries required", you cannot cancel part-way through, return the product or receive a refund until payment for the stated number of deliveries is complete. The obligation to pay for the minimum number of deliveries also arises if you do not accept the product, or if the product is returned to us because delivery was refused or you were away for a long period. The charge for the second delivery arises under the terms of your contract even if you have not received the first. Example: a plan requiring 2 deliveries
- 1st delivery: no returns, refunds or cancellation
- 2nd delivery: the charge arises regardless of whether you received the first delivery; no returns, refunds or cancellation
