What is Kelo-cote?

Kelo-cote is a topical silicone gel for treating and preventing excessive scarring such as hypertrophic scars and keloids, and is a patented specialist gel.
It helps soften, flatten and smooth scars while maintaining the moisture balance and elasticity of the surrounding skin.

How to use

• Before applying, cut the tip of the nozzle with clean scissors.
• Clean the affected area and let it dry.
• Apply a thin layer of Kelo-cote to the scar twice a day.
• It dries within four to five minutes to form a flexible, transparent sheet, which protects the wound and delivers the treatment effect.
• Once Kelo-cote has dried, you can apply cosmetics or sunscreen over it.

Important notes

• The recommended course is twice daily for at least 60 to 90 days. Extensive or older scars can take longer, and if you are still seeing improvement after 90 days we recommend continuing.
  
• Children (from three months of age) and people with sensitive skin can also use it.
• Do not apply it directly to wounds before stitches are removed, to weeping wounds, to open acne, to mucous membranes or to the eyes.
